30 Majestic Bird Photos..

Amplify’d from creativefan.com
November 29th, 2010 Posted in Inspiration by Eric Shafer

Bird photography is a highly popular subject in photography.  Birds are quite majestic creatures, and their ability to fly has been the subject of our envy for generations, culminating in our development of flight and aerospace engineering.  Even since ancient times, the ability to fly was revered among the population, and in the famous Greek myth, Icarus and his father attempt to escape from an island palace, so his father builds wings out of wax and feathers.  Icarus’ father warned him not to fly too close to the sun, but as Icarus soared higher, he ignored these instructions, and the way melted, leading to Icarus’ death.  Aside from mythology, even today, birds are an essential part of the dynamic ecosystems of our world, and they often grace our backyards with their majesty.

In this post, you’ll find 30 majestic bird photos, captured by some of the top photographers in the world.  From calm lakes to ocean shores, peaks and valleys, photographers sought out some of the most unique and beautiful birds in the world to capture these bird photographs.

Illusion-PhotographyMoon and sky in the night are pretty nice source of inspiration for the many of photographers.

I always liked to watch those tourist-photos where one holds Egyptian pyramids or Sun in his hands, or where one stays leaned against tower in Pisa. Laurent Laveder has took a series of such photos, but only with the Moon. Here you can see some funny and convincing illusion photographs of the Moon.

Laurent Laveder is professional photographer from France who prefers to take photos of nature and especially natural appearances and phenomena on the sky. It is also important to mention that he works as astronomy journals. A several of his photos can also been found on NASA's website and different astronomy publications from all over the world.

AUTHENTIC CRYSTAL SKULL SHA NA RA

AUTHENTIC CRYSTAL SKULL SHA NA RA

Ancient Technology

The crystal skull Sha Na Ra, named in memory of a Shaman Healer, is made of clear quartz (white opaque with yellow tinge). It has the unusual distinction of having been discovered in an actual archeological dig in Mexico - therefore providing further credibility to its status as a true ancient crystal skull.

ShaNaRa crystal skull

What is also unusual about the crystal skull ShaNaRa resurfacing is the way that it was found. It was located through a method called "psychic archeology", which means that the location of the find was pinpointed by intuitive guidance.

It is interesting to note that many of the present caretakers, particularly of ancient crystal skulls, had some sort of premonition, dream or insight, as if the crystal skull was acting as some kind of beacon, beckoning them to it.

A pioneer in crystal skull research, F.R. Nick Nocerino was in the Guererro province of Central Mexico when he was asked to use his paranormal powers to pinpoint locations where artifacts would be found. The story as he explained it on national British Television goes as follows:

Some diggers who were digging in some old ruins up along Rio Bassa, they really wanted to do, was see if I would perform some pyschometry where I would touch an area and say 'hey there's something here or something there', which we did and I went along and we did some touching, and I said 'Dig there', and we came across a terracotta basket and we found ShaNaRa.

The ancient crystal skull ShaNaRa is still owned by the family of the late Nick Nocerino, who encourage Kirby Seid to present it to the public, according to Nick Nocerino's wishes. Kirby Seid is an expert in the crystal and mineral field who has traveled the world for crystals and ancient artifacts.

Kirby Seid is dedicated to the union of the crystal/mineral kingdom and that of our spiritual human evolution. He believes that minerals are not only physically different from each other but are also metaphysically empowered with inherent qualities, like for quartz:

Quartz crystal can create altered states of consciousness and serve as vehicle for both reaching and utilizing the talents and abilities of the mind. The quartz crystal can produce a force field of healing negative ions while clearing the surrounding atmosphere of positive ions. The natural tendency of quartz is for harmony. Traditionally the natural quartz crystal was said to both harmonize and align human energies: thoughts, consciousness, and emotions- with the energies of the universe. The quartz crystal can be used to facilitate both speaking with and receiving information from the spiritual and can help one understand the messages and lessons conveyed during the dream state.

Kirby Seid specializes in "communication" via sound and music, and has been developing the Light Labyrinth Project in collaboration with artists from the Exploratorium in San Francisco and software writers from Apple Computers. He aptly calls this Ancient Technology.

Crystals, minerals, light and sound have been used throughout time to access shamanic visions and healing in ancient traditions.

To the Druids, the real magic of [crystal] glass lay in its ability to refract white light into the color spectrum as is well known by observing a rainbow phenomena. Through such patterns the druids believed that man was privileged with a rare opportunity to know something of Divinity. “In the book, The 21 Lessons of Merlin, Douglas Monroe says that one of the underlying principles of all druidism is the secret of color in the long-standing mystery of the druid’s affiliation with both light and crystal stone in the practice of scrying.” explains student of mysticism Peter Warner.

Crystal spheres and carvings have been known to be important in sacred ceremony. In particular, the Crystal Skull has been revered by ancient cultures throughout human history. As the symbol of the vessel for human consciousness, various native North American and South American Indian cultures have used carved stone skulls in ceremonies representing the passage and evolution of the human existence to higher planes. Some tribes use them as portals into specific realms of their spirit helpers and ancestors. They have been traditionally used as record keepers, witnesses to very important spiritual events in communities, or personal rituals of power. These special talismans have also been used as keepers of scared dreams, knowledge and power.

Sha Na Ra, is the name of an authentic ancient crystal skull guardianed by Khrys Nocerino and the Late FR.Nick Nocerino. Discovered on an archeological dig near Guerrero Mexico, by Nick, many people have had deep visions, intuitions, past life recalls, and messages from the unseen through this cherished artifact. It is the Nocerino’s gift and wish to make Sha Na Ra available to persons sincerely seeking experience and council with this ancient artifact. When viewed with the The Light Labyrinth, the latest innovation in light, color and sound technology, the crystal skull Sha Na Ra is illuminated to new realms of visioning possibilities.

Today you can experience the power of ShaNaRa as Kirby Seid lectures and conducts workshops and private sessions incorporating the ancient crystal skull - as well as some other crystals from his collection. Events with the crystal skull ShaNaRa are usually publicized in this format:

Did you know the Ancient Egyptians believed that eating lemons and drinking lemon juice was an effective protection against a variety of poisons, and that recent research has confirmed this belief?

There are many health benefits of lemons that have been known for centuries. Medical Precautions Note: If you suffer from heartburn, kidney or gall bladder problems or have a citrus allergy consult your doctor before using these remedies or drinking lemon juice. To protect your teeth enamel, wait at least half an hour before brushing your teeth after chewing, drinking or rinsing with lemon juice. Rubbing lemon juice or oil and drinking lemon juice is not suitable for children under the age of 10. Lemons are effective home remedies for a variety of health concerns but in the case of serious illness always consult your doctor first.

Hand-Build an Earth Sheltered House For $5,000

Amplify’d from greenbuildingelements.com

Hand-Build an Earth Sheltered House For $5,000

Cash, that most basic element of our economy, can be in abysmally short supply for new young families scraping by on marginal jobs.

Sustainable housebuilding may not be foremost in their minds.

But one young couple in Wales managing on an annual income of just $10,000 went ahead and built their own cheap home anyway, sustainably, mostly out of materials from “a rubbish pile somewhere.”

They had wanted to spend as much time as possible at home while their two children were young. Their nearby woodlands ecological management work would have been impractical if they were paying a mortgage

So they enlisted some help from family, and sometimes just from people passing by, and from any of their friends who stopped by to visit:

The result was their very low impact homemade house. A hand built unique setting for a charmed life for their two young toddlers. I’ll bet they’ll remember this first home for the rest of their lives.
Four months of hard work and they were all 4 moved in and cozy.

Total expenditure? $5,000. Tools? A chisel, a chainsaw and a hammer. Building expertise? Simon Dale says:

“My experience is only having a go at one similar house 2yrs before and a bit of mucking around in-between. This kind of building is accessible to anyone. My main relevant skills were being able bodied, having self belief and perseverance and a mate or two to give a lift now and again.”

Sustainable design and construction:

  1. Dug into hillside for low visual impact and shelter

  2. Stone and mud from diggings used for retaining walls, foundations etc.

  3. Frame constructed of fallen trees from surrounding woodland

  4. Reciprocal roof rafters are structurally very easy to do

  5. Straw bales in floor, walls and roof for super-insulation and easy building

  6. Plastic sheet and mud/turf roof for low impact and ease

  7. Lime plaster on walls is breathable and low energy to manufacture compared to cement

  8. Reclaimed (scrap) wood for floors and fittings

  9. Other items were reclaimed from “a rubbish pile somewhere”: windows, wiring, plumbing

(Maybe there should be a new LEED rating just for building so inexpensively: Sustainable Financing. This is one mortgage bill that’s not going to be haunting their mum and dad for years.) Inside there’s a wood-burner for heating – waste wood in the old-growth forest is locally plentiful. To get the most of the heat, the flue goes through a big stone/plaster lump to retain and slowly releases the warmth.

There are just a couple of solar panels – just enough for for lighting, music and computing. It’s a simple life. A skylight in the roof lets in enough natural feeling light, and water is fed by gravity downhill from a nearby spring. There’s a compost toilet. Roof water collects in a pond for gardening

Says Simon: “Our house is unusual but the aesthetic appeals to lots of people and perhaps touches something innate in us that evolved in forests.

Want to try making one too? Simon will show you how.
